Fishing Report

Not good, 1 small sea mullet about 6 inches with Fishbites bloodworms late this afternoon just over the outer bar around low tide in Kitty Hawk. I left along with everybody else on the beach because of a thunderstorm with lightning streaking to the south. It was windy on the beach from the south with no mosquitoes, they are bad around the houses where the wind is blocked. There was a whole lot of eel grass further out getting all over the line but the sinkers were holding the ocean was kind of calm with not much current, a little chilly and murky, no grass up close. I didn't see any sand fleas just a lot of their shells up on the beach, I think they were on the bar because it was kind of cloudy. Somebody else that was out there longer caught 3 the same size and 1 throwback size speckled trout was caught by somebody else real early this morning.
