I'd say no. The sound can get rough quick. If you are by your self I think it's a pain to put it in and out . On the other hand there may be some specks close to shore you can fish for. Fish off little bridge, piers. If O'NEALS has some fresh peelers crabs you can do well fishing this bait for drum on little bridge up close to pilings.
