Fish fight on Roanoke River

Well, this week has been an interesting week. Marty and I put the boat in at Weldon, NC. "Rock Fish Capital". They call it this for this is were most Rock Fish whom come up the sound end up to Spawn. The Rock fish are here that is for sure, small ones, big ones, pretty ones and some ugly ones HA HA. The water temp is about 56 degrees at Weldon so it need to warm up a bit before the fish begin to fight (Spawn). If you have never seen this before it is a sight to sit and just wonder in AWWW when you see the next group of fish come to the surface as they help milk the females of their eggs. Its nature at its best for every egg that fertilizes, grows and returns to the sound or ocean gives us that love to catch the big rock fish a chance to hopefully one day catch that 50-80lb. wonder. While on the river I did try my hand at some white perch fishing and it proved to be awesome fun also. Well enough for now, I am off to bed and Kayakfisherman, his wife, his father and I are off for some early morning fishing again on the Roanoke River. I am getting my arms and reeling hand in shape for some good OBX fishing soon. Take care everyone, and come see the Fish Fight on the Roanoke River.
