I'm always looking for new stuff to try when I'm fishing , but I also use the old standby's. Ran across this the other day via another guy I know that has a blog. Fish Creek Spinners is a company out west (I think) that makes custom spinnerbaits. I've been talking with them and I'll have 2 of them soon to try out.
I honestly don't know if they'll work or not , but the squid pattern looks pretty good to me. Mentioned to the owner about slimming it down to more closely resemble a Got-Cha or spoon and he emailed me several times to recommend changes that he thought would work. Very nice guy.
I was kind of looking for an alternative to Got-Chas and we worked out a modified version of the lure linked below. I'm anxious to try it , it looks promising. I like to try new stuff :) Even more so when it's something new and different that's made in the USA by a small business.
I'll post a pic when they get here :) We were working on the "Dinner Bell Squid" in the F211 pattern , added some weight and a bucktail treble with a split ring.
