northern beaches surf fishing

Hello to all. Comin down to borrow a little piece of heaven from all of you year round outer bankers. I will be staying at a house 9 miles north of corolla and was curious what to expect out of the surf besides spot, croaker, etc. If I heave out a live spot or a chunk bait, can I expect a bluefish or maybe even a cobia? Also, was gonna take my kid on The Miss Oregon Inlet, but was told they pretty much catch the same species as I would from the beach.I really dont care to drop 600 or more dollars to take my kid tuna fishing, ihave done enough of that and my back aint as strong as it used to be. Any party (head) boats or charter boats that target gulf stream bottom species? King and afew others were very helpful when I posted a few months back, and any additional info would be greatly appreciated ! Sorry for babblin so much, just happy to be comin down this week
