Sound Fishing

Hey everyone. I am leaving this upcoming Friday the 17th of June and heading to Kitty Hawk. We have a condo on the sound side and I was thinking about buying a license when I get down there so I can fish the sound. I am primarily used to fishing for bass, bluegill, walleye, and other freshwater fish indigenous to the waters of Ohio. I am just wondering if anyone could give me some tips on sound fishing from the bank. I am not looking to catch anything specific. I was assuming jigging the bottom would probably be a good idea. Any tips on tackle would be appreciated as well. Thanks for any info you can provide.
