Speckled Trout

Just want to remind everybody that the speckled trout season might open June 15th. If the season does open then the best place to catch them during the summer is going to be in the sound like very early morning at the little bridge on the Nags Head Causeway. Probably a red head jig with something green would be good. I'd stop by Fishing Unlimited beside the little bridge or one of the other tackle shops and find out if they have been biting and what lures have been working the best. Also another place is wading around the grass and fishing at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. I recommend planning a trout / drum / spot trip for fishing on the north side of the piers either the last week of October or first week of November.
