I never meant to imply that you support the ban. If my comment made you feel that way, I apologize. The catwalk and its parking lot are not where the ban would take place. In all honesty, I have not been to the catwalk in years since my 6 year old is WIDE OPEN. I just don't trust her on the catwalk.
NCBBA, ESA, and many other organizations regularly clean up the beaches and roadways. Maybe something needs to be done at the parking lot as well.
My question to all of you is this-since there are more violations at the bird enclosures that result from pedestrians than vehicles, how long do you think it would be before they demand the beaches be closed to pedestrian use as well? This is not a new fight, this fight has been going on for many years. Often the ORV people wind up losing access. Do you really think that these groups will be happy with, in their own words, just 12% of the beaches closed to ORV use? Based on past suits, I say no.
