Birds over Southern Shores

I didn't catch anything but thousands of birds working around 1000 yards off the beach at Southern Shores between the Hilton hotel and southern Duck (1:00 PM - 2:30 PM and still there at 4:00 PM). I later went to TWs in Kitty Hawk and a boater brought in a 36# Rock Fish (Striped Bass) that he caught off the Hilton hotel about 1/2 half mile off shore. There is a lot of life off of Southern Shores right now. I hope that the bait fish get closer to the beach for us land locked fishers.
