Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia is my " Home " water. I try to fish everywhere I go to be honest.

Are you close to Lake Anna? Could be a decent population of linesides in there , but I've never fished it

Leesville Lake up this way has a few too as does Kerr Reservoir in NC ( I think that's what it's called ).

Either way , now is definitely the time of year for landlocked stripers.
