Caught a couple trout around the lighthouse. On lowtide you can wade those feeder creeks to the edge where it meets the sound, they pile up along the mouths oppsite of the current. Fresh cut bait , and Soft Plastics seem best Imho.

For the pups Id wade around the Oregon Inlet, again I like to go 2hrs before hightide, so watch the water dont get trapped lol. Again fresh cut bait, and river fish for them!! Light line, size 6 hook and 1 bb sinker 6inchs up toss it out and let it drift, reel in, re-cast, they love this be ready for a slotter!!

Hope this helps , dont wade out unless your comfortable with it, I always wear a fanny pak and go light as I can. Waders and life jacket is a must of course =)) Goodluck
