Newbie help again

We are going to be in Nags Head a week starting Oct. 9th. I have been reading this board and it is very helpful. Are there guides there that take people "under their wings" for surf/pier/bridge fishing? We are willing to pay a reasonable amount for help as we are new to saltwater. Also, what about make up trips? There are just 2 of us and chartering a $1400 boat for 2 people is a little pricey. Any ideas? We are looking at taking a full day off shore (blue water) and maybe a full or half day close to shore. Thanks!
