Blob Knot

I have been using an albright to attach the shock leader to my main line. The albright never failed. I just put line on a new reel and will be using a heavier (60#) leader. The albright seemed bulky with the heavier leader. Ditto the uni-knot. Next I tried a blob knot. I'm liking the looks of this knot. I'm curious if any of you have experience with this knot and, if so, do you recommend/not recommend using it?

I read somewhere about buying tapered leaders. Maybe that is the ticket.
