The school moved down to South Nags Head and outside of Oregon Inlet if your looking for them. Just guessing Outer Banks Pier might be the best way to go for the drum crowd, maybe walking over at the last parking area on the beach road at night or the beach by the rock jetty on the south side of Oregon Inlet. Just my 2 cents if you want to try your luck.
