Fishing Around Hatteras

Hello All

I have heard many people talk about fishing down near Hatteras and all that it has to offer in comparison with the northern beaches. During my trip down next week, I have decided to take a day and make the drive down toward Hatteras to do some fishing. What are some good public places that might be worth hitting up? I will have all of my surf gear, kayaks, and fly gear with me for this expedition.
