To answer your questions:

1. We're in the winter doldrums. Few fish around. Board is to share Outer Banks experiences. Subjects you mentioned qualify.
2. Touron. Definition from the well known Kitty Hawk "King Dictionary". A visitor to an area who has no clue, and no respect for others or their property.
3. Chumming from the beach NOT something that goes over well w/ others. Can you say "SHARK"!!!!
4. Fish are "Out There", just not tons and not close. (Like Fox Mulder used to say about the truth:):)

OK, will go fishy for you and relate w/ a "One that got away story". Fishing Manns Harbor (can't say where) on Skyrats' boat. 2 of us thrilled to be hookin up every couple minutes w/ nice bass and drum. Da Rat tho (who has caught more fish than all of us on this board put together) is bored and casts in different direction. Gets big hit and is haulin in something sizeable, big enuf to make us stop and watch. Just as he's about to net it, rod tension gone. Up comes head and about 8" of a 36" striper -bitten off. Perhaps the legendary "Manns Harbor" monster. Then there was the time, again fishin w/ Skyrat, hooked up a skate so big it towed the boat around....
