Thoghts on Fishing in late Sept...

I haven't been to the OBX in 10 years.

I'm going the last week in Sept (going into OCT).

I still have a bunch of Salt Water stuff around....but need some guidance on what to bring, and thoughts on Pier, Surf and possibly head boat fishing during that time. I'll even try for a make-up charter for Tuna/Dolphin (I've done that twice in the past and really liked it).

I do recall that the last time I was there, people were catching specks on the pier...but I wasn't catching anything (I had a different lure with me)....so I want to avoid that if possible this year..

I'll be up in Duck if that helps.

Thanks for any thoughts, Ideas, links, etc.
