Any wind blowing off the water has been better than blowing off the beach. You can kind of get an idea when the good days might be for the surf and piers by looking at the extended forecast, the cooler days will be the better days. The first day of the cooler weather will probably have too many thunderstorms. Also the extended forecast could change every day.
