My favorite technique for flounder fishing is just a basic 2 hook bottom rig with a nice long piece of squid and a round sinker. with this I just drag it along the bottom by reeling really slow or pulling the rod and then taking up the slack. Might not be the most effective method but it helped me catch 6 small flounder in 3 hours this summer which is a personal best. I fish this on a 7' Medium action bass rod and even the littlest of them puts up a nice fight.
