Thanks for the feedback guys. I can't wait to get down there and throw a couple of lines out. Not ever knowing what might hit is EXACTLY what has hooked me on surf fishing and I have always enjoyed it. I have caught fish more often than not, but I have never caught a red drum and that is what I want most. I may be heading down to Hatteras or even Ocracoke for a day or two depending on beach access as I understand my chances are better down there. Other than that goal, I am content with whatever is on the other end of the line, even skates and dogfish.
