Don't lose heart man , I was in college once ( long time ago ).

If you fish any local waters , like rivers or small lakes or hell even the sound ( weather permiting ) , there are lots of options for a boat. A center console big enough to fish light inshore weather isn't the only option. No matter where you fish , most of the time a boat will get you to fish and places to fish you would normally not be able to catch by wading or fishing from the shore

I started in a john boat on the New River.

Keep in mind , a used boat will have a lot of the stuff I mentioned earlier. Most of it is pretty standard nowadays.

Either way , you are still young , so you have plenty of time to get a BIG boat and take us all fishing for an outrageous charter price!!!
