Well the engine is always a concern , I prefer an Evinrude or a Johnson outboard. I can work on those so it's just my preference. Just make sure the engine runs good and has been well maintained. Ask if the gear oil in the lower unit has been changed and if the motor has been flushed and drained after being in the water. If water has been left in a motor over winter it can cause serious problems with the impeller and other parts of the cooling system.

For the rest of the boat , it kind of depends on how you fish. You'll want storage for rods and tackle so they're not bouncing around when you're traveling at high speed. I like a boat with two livewells. Rod holders are something to keep in mind too if you plan to troll or fish with bait a lot , but if you find the right boat you can always put rod holders on it.

Electronics are a big part of the " bells and whistles " on most boats. You'll want a good depth finder , a working Marine radio , maybe a GPS , a decent trolling motor and definitely an onboard battery charger. Bilge pumps too.

I also like to have things easy to get to and simple to work on , but that's not always possible. There's always something that needs fixed or tinkered with on my boats. Sometimes it seems like they are just a hole in the water to put money in.

If you like to tinker with things , you could get a cheaper boat ( as long as the hull and motor are ok ) and customize it to suit the way YOU fish.
