Could be the water temperature jumped when the wind switched from the north to the southeast. So far if the marine forecast is right the wind is going to be southeast Friday, Friday night and Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if the water temperature goes into the 60s. I'm guessing there will be a big drum bite at Buxton on the southside of the point this weekend.

The best time at the little bridge is probably going to be either early morning or late afternoon. There's also a public pier at the big bridge on the causeway. You turn down the road across from Pirate's Cove Marina and follow the road by the canal back to the bridge.
