Hey King--Hope your Thanksgiving was good. The reports I'm here from our area, the boaters are doing pretty well while the surf remains hit and miss. A guy from work went out last weekend off Atlantic City. Three out of about 30 that they caught were keepers. Late this week the Absecon Inlet was producing kepers in the 32" to 36" range. Best catch was drifting with spot. I'm also hearing that the Staton Island area is seeing bass in the 30 lb. range. That's still well north from were I am.
As for me, still haven't landed my first striper of the fall. During Thanksgiving week got to the surf 5 times and only one bump. The Friday after Thanksgiving, keepers were being caught all along the areas I fish. I was home that day putting up Christmas decorations. Just my luck. Looks like your pretty much on target with your prediction of mid December. Good luck to all in the OBX.
