I was gonna suggest a pier, too. Pay the dollar or whatever to walk out there. Drink a beer or Pepsi and relax. See what's going on. Talk to folks, 'What ya caught?' You get info and see what's working for some.
If you want to fish, go back and they'll applly the money to upgrade to a fishing pass for the day.
It's good for the soul, if you catch something or not...enjoy the view, sights, smells! I can't wait for the pier to open. Can you tell?
