Try Berkley Cherrywood or Fenwick Eagle GT.The only drawback with some cheaper rods the eyelets may corrode.Wash them down after you are done fishing with freshwater. Accually you should do this with any rod.My favorite trout rod is a 7 1/2 ft.20 year old Cherrywood. Have several more I spent more money on but I always find myself fishing with it.Foul hooked about an 80lb Manta Ray with it one time and landed it in the surf with a Shimano 4000 reel and 17lb gorilla line. Rod held up still using it.
