I'm not a local but bald head is one of my favorite places on the planet,not necessarily for fishing,but the fishing can be good.Terry has more knowledge under fingernail than I have in my body about surf fishing,but I would take some stuff. I go the second week of sept.,that kind of corresponds with april as far as air tempts , and while I realize that the the water tempts want be up yet try cape fear on the east beach side with some blue fish rigs, #2,3,or 4 hooks,with fresh mullet(not frozen). They don't have to be alive but caught in the last three days and kept on ice. high tide seems to be the best there. I have friends that have got into blues in december and caught drum in march. Thats fun and thats DINNER!!! Good luck and good fishing. Rodney
