My knowledge is catching pompano on the North Banks-Duck.I use a two hook bottem rig. Small hooks # 1-3 Gold wire, and a 1 oz. round sinker (silver dollar).Fresh not frozen shrimp.Throw the rig at the at the drop off right at the high surf only a few feet from the beach.My son caught a bunch standing standing in 6'' of water with his 7' rod and about 10' of line out last year. Drum--cut bait, fish finder rig, deep holes off the beach.Bluefish--bluefish rig. high tide, cut bait. All bait sould be fresh not frozen crap.Good drum and bluefish lure is a Castmaster.I have caught trout, blues, mackrel,gar, drum in saltwater with them. Also good in fresh--crappie,pike,perch,trout, bass.Good luck and MERRY XMAS.
