Something to do.

Hello, I will be in Rodanthe with my family next week and have searched, but can not find the answers to the following.(1)What would you consider prime dogfish conditions such as tide/bait/day or night.(2)Can clams be caught in a rake this time of year,not many, just something to do with the kids.Thanks in advance for any help and Happy Holidays.
