When I moved here DISH's dish was already installed and I was just starting to mess around with a ROKU box so tried and kept DISH.
I like the record feature, you can set to record as one show or as a series as they come on and keep an eye on free previews coming.
Usually every 2 or 3 months they will give you a free weekend of Showtime or others and you can pick through it with the tv guide.
Last time I got The Last Voyage of the Demeter on Showtime if you want a scary movie and probably will still be on there next time.
What's on good for me comes and goes on it and lately not much and been watching Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago Fire.
The writers seem to do a good job at coming up with content for them. I really like the outdoor reality series so that is my favorite.
They're starting a new series called The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys that I think will be good repeat is 10 pm tonight on USA.
As for free a ROKU box runs off your internet. Last one I got for another tv was $30 at CVS drugstore you can find them in like Walmart.
You plug it into your tv at it comes with a remote control, type in your wireless password, credit card, pick what your interested on it.
It's a one time deal buying the player and then some of it is free some is not and you can pick the free stuff and have added free live tv.
I have the free stuff and subscribed to Netflix and I also have Amazon Prime for free shipping which does come with streaming for that box.
Netflix and Amazon Prime will have you covered for movies, series, documentaries and a variety of tv shows and are always adding new movies.
