Prices no surprise. Neighbor reported at medium priced restaurant. Petite steak = $44. Baked potato $8 more!
Be plenty of restaurants goin down the tube. Blame inflation + higher minimum wage.
Restaurants like Mexican, seem to be OK...still offering coupons + filled up every night.
No way to shop just 1 grocery store. Loss leaders waaaay outdistanced by high prices on everything else.
Don't expect prices to ever go back to pre- COVID. Only can hope continuing inflation slows.
Mentioned before...Pepsico product increases. Soft drinks (12 cans) were $2.50 now $9.39, Fritos $2.99 now over $4.99.
Other North Coast doings...
Unrelated...but another way marketing is going. New van has "security" wheel lugs and a lug tool for lug removal. But...no jack, lug wrench or tire inflator kit included. And...
Advertised Vehicle "Health Report" is supposed to be available via PC or phone App - updated daily, showing individual tire pressure, oil age, etc. (Can also see via steering wheel buttons). Today,...Steering wheel shows tires 41,41,41,41 while PC and app show 46.46,46,47 when they appear vs. messages = "not available" which is 95% of the time..
This same problem existed for 34 months w/ previous van. It was never fixed in spite of constant contact w/ dealer. All Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep models w/ this feature currently have the same problem. Even better, the wording indicating not available, has many formats, and is variable....no rhyme or reason.
Coyotes have thinned the squirrels, hawks the birds.
On a lighter note...elephant garlic and Bluebelles have sprouted.
