read an article on sunfish. they say the bluegill is the best. i have hybrid sun fish in my pond. also black crappie and a florida type largemouth bass. so far the pond is pretty balanced. i probably take 60 sunfish, 40 crappie and 0 bass each year. i also have a few channel catfish. most other ponds i fish with bluegill are over run with small bluegills. here is the kicker. my dear mom in her 90's loves sunfish. i asked her witch ones see likes best. she said all good but the ones from sam's pond are sweeter. Sam's pond = bluegills. so there you go.
Weather; starting sunday 7 days with temps in the teens and single digits. snow on tuesday. we will see if the ole wood burner can keep up.
putting migrants in diesel buses and schools to keep warm. see temps in midwest -25 to -35. i knew when i seen them dang bluebirds filling up there boxes with straw and food something was going to happen. they have never done that. you can't fool mother nature. you all stay safe.
