Capt.D, King is right, the hole size is critical or you will have all kinds of birds trying to get in. bluebirds are very finicky about their boxes and the direction they face. also found out they like a small tree or bush close to box. i have bought all kinds of boxes online and at local stores. an older man gave me this old box and said they would go in. very simple box. first year had a brood, then mostly 2 a year after that. i have another one down around my garden. going to build 2 more this winter. also i think RAC builds bird boxes.here are a few pics i took last few days.
