i worked at Capitol Records in my way younger years. when capitol records sold out TREX bought the whole place. i think TREX were one of the first composite people. but the capitol building was the perfect place. already set up. a record starts out as a giant vinyl (plastic) hamburger. heated then pressed and music and label put on and trimmed and you have a record. so throw a little saw dust in there and then you have composite lumber. i'm sure it was not that simple but pretty close. i think that is what you used. probably out last me and you. i like it. the only thing is it is very heavy.
as for my slab (like you) i will probably have to frame it and put in rebar and get somebody to finish it.

BTW trees are really getting color, try to get some pics and send them.
