Expect more enclaves and the squad to grow. Those are going to be as good as where they come from like little countries inside this country.
Going in Food Lion in Kill Devil Hills at the beach is like walking around in a foreign country, last time I'd say 80% not speaking English.
I was just told it was like a summer crowd there now. I did not ask if it is the seafood festival, prices are high maybe not for big cities.
So far no freeze in this area they did get a first snow this past week on the Blue Ridge Parkway and had to be closed a picture on one below.

The 2 mom and pops nearby do thin cut to keep under $10 like steak and pork chops with big sides, one has liver and onions, good if you like it.
Last time in Hickory I did pick up at Applebee's and got the steak, shrimp, 2 sides has not been as good lately might try Red Lobster next time.
Saturday I went to the Apple Festival in town. Mostly was old country trinkets, food was an assortment like hot dogs, BBQ, fish, pizza, donuts.
I skipped funnel cakes too much grease. I did get couple of red candied apples, they had a pucker to them could hardly taste the candy part on it.
I got quartered chicken meal, baked beans and coleslaw and also BBQ sandwich to go for dinner. The lemonade and donut stands had the longest lines.
Found a lull in the line at one lemonade stand was a giant blowup yellow thing, large size cup, fresh squeezed with lemon in it was 6 or 7 dollars.
I got a bag of red delicious apples, mason jars of homemade mild salsa, seedless blackberry jelly and sourwood honey all from a mountain bee apiary.
Honey was light and super sweet, salsa more a medium. Also fried pork rinds, goat milk soap and lip balm, small carved pig from nice crazy lace agate.
I was enjoying talking to the ladies and great crowd for the size, no bumping, pushing along up one side of the street wore out going back down other.
It has quadrupled in size last 2 years, 35,000 people, 450 venders. Tried to get picture but was having trouble with the phone, all packed with people.

You need to drink more water maybe salt if you been pouring it on and you don't want a kidney stone. They might have a sonic device, would break it up.
