i like the ramp just before Avon pier. i usually get a dozen blood worms and cut up what i catch for cut bait. from avon on down their are little roads on the right that take you to the sound. i've never tried to catch bait but might be some there. good bait shop at Buxton. i like finger mullet. good luck.
