Storm Update

It's not bad so far on the northern beaches, looks like mostly 7-10 footers with a strong current from the south. The waves went about 3/4 up the beach at high tide this morning in Kitty Hawk / Kill Devil Hills. Not much beach erosion, some areas are forming a hump with a deep gully behind it from the wave run back. The water feels like it's in the 60s and the beach is foggy about a half mile visible with a chilly stinky breeze blowing off the ocean.
A lot of people are out and about on the beach, nobody fishing or swimming except for a few surfers. The traffic is bad on the bypass, bumper to bumper all day going south.
Looks like overwash at the S-Curves...
