been cold in the shenandoah valley. last 2 nights in the 20's. the ground has dried up some with all the wind. been able to get to some spots for cleaning up trees. almost have enough logs for next winter. looks like big warm up coming this week. starting to think about morrel mushrooms and planting my spring onions. going trout fishing one day this week. probably a stocked stream. need to get away from here for a couple of days. in the last couple weeks replaced my tv, leak in water line at pressure tank, replaced tank and switch and lines (original tank 35 years old). still have original water heater. my upright freezer went bad (17 years old). waiting on a couple of parts for my cub cadet mowing tractor(built in 1972). prices are crazy high. pressure tank and fittings $500. tv= $1200. freezer= $1100. parts for cub=$500 (front PTO). BUT that is the way she goes. just glad i could do work myself. everybody take care.
