There used to be a nice trout hole just north of the Kitty Hawk pier (Hilton Gardens now). Probably can catch spot, croaker, mullet anyplace along Southern Shores with bloodworm fishbites and a two hook bottom rig.Look for deeper holes along the beach.You can find them looking at the beach at low tide. Best to fish them on an incomming tide to high.The trout hole should be fished with leadhead grubs.Might find a red drum with a fishfinder rig and cut bait.Don't throw your bottem rig too far out, most fish are caught right in the wash.Might find some Pompano right in the wash if water temps are above 75.Fresh shrimp and I mean fresh and very small hooks on a bottom rig will do for them.
