Good to hear that tho not 100% yet you are holding your own. Hope you've gotten all shots incl. booster. More and more reports say immunity from prior infection not enuf.
Re: Wegman's. None on North Coast. Beef prices cept for occasional sale on ground chuck, are waaay above what most can afford. Pork, cept bacon, continues to be the most affordable meat.
Re: Wholesale clubs. Don't do as bulk purchase not for someone who lives alone.
Gas prices fluctuate daily. Was $2.79 yesterday at closest station. Natural gas prices thru roof almost double last years rates.
Re: Afghanistan food crisis. This Capt donates "only" to church and Wounded Warriors. Hunger and disease is everywhere. Believe our obligation is to our own county first. We cannot save the world. Especially disheartening as politicians continue to cause those problems w/ their policies that aim at more votes vs. good of "legal" citizenry.
Re: Dem spin on countries problems. On TV and social media daily. Expect woes to continue and they'll lose a lot of votes even some of the "head in the sand" party loyalists.
Large numbers of beds empty at hospitals because even tho elective surgery cancelled there are not enuf nurses.
Escaped big problems as the bad weather swept thu yesterday. Just a lot of wind and minimal rain. Lost only a few bulbs due to power fluctuations.
Holidays will be very difficult this year w/o Mrs. Capt. Not alone tho with that tho as most every family this Capt speaks with is dealing w/ illness, death and internal strife.
Unrelated but something to look forward to...beach rental agreements have arrived for 2022. Flip side = lots of inaccuracies in them and won't answer phones to allow corrections. "Way of the World" these days.
