A while back on an inshore trip I kept marking a flock of birds on my radar about 4 1/2 miles offshore of me .I trolled out there and it was a sight to behold.Been years since I have seen so many Menhaden. They were solid top to bottom 60 feet deep by a 1/4 mile wide and a 1/4 mile long.Sharks,Bluefins,False Albacores and Lord knows what else that we could not see.
We caught a bunch of False Albacore...which are pretty sorry table fare....but I save them for bottom bait,...Snappers,Groupers,Triggerfish and Seabass love them.
Also had about a 150 Thresher Shark explode on one of the Albacores RIGHT BE SIDE TE BOAT!!!!...Pretty cool
