Yes Jeremy this will work and is a good thing to do this time of the year. I do find that the bass tend to stay in the deeper cooler areas during the day though, so fish on the deep side of drops and structures. I use gotcha lures and any type of weedless worms or lizards. I have found that in the sound this time of the year with the water coloring that pumpkin seed with chartreuse tail does nicely and in the evening anything white and it they don't take the white dip the tail in chartreuse.
