So sorry for you. This time is awful for both of us. There's no magic bullet I can suggest to ease your pain or lighten your load.

Our arrangements for Mrs. Capt were difficult to set up, but the crew, especially oldest daughter pulled us through. Hope you have some family to help you too.

Didn't realize from your posts your dad was so bad. Lost my dad in 2002. He had no colon (wore a bag), no kidney function (dialysis 3x a week), and had congestive heart failure, but had all his faculties. He lived alone, 26 houses away from us where I could tend to him till the last day, when dialysis no longer could pull off fluid and his organs began to shut down, 48 hours before he passed. This Capt and crew were with him at the end.

Some advice... This Capt has been a hermit for the last year, only speaking to anyone outside of the crew when necessary. Now, already look forward to seeing friends, neighbors. It really helps. Allow others to help you through the grieving process.
