what to expect?

I'm comming down last week in august. 1st time to OBX
I'm an avid surf fisher here in NJ, be staying in southern shores. Taking my 4x4 to do some fishin, what can I expect to catch? baits used? anyother web sites u can recommend? thanks in advance! tight lines
