Lucked out. Departed Rodanthe 0700 hrs. Few red lights and slow downs on bypass. Clear sailing after that.

Left hotel in Waynesboro VA at 0615 hrs. today ... arrived at homestead at 1315 hrs. One stretch on 64 didn't see another vehicle north for 40 minutes. No police seen in NC, VA, 1 in WV, 5 in OH.

Usual gas station out of gas Sat. afternoon in Waynesboro. Next nearest only 2 pumps working @ $2.95. Gas $3.09 in WV.
