0530 - 0930 hrs. Surf. ESE 5-10. Low tide incoming. Waves at outer bar increased to 12-14 ft. Water from outer bar to shore a wash machine...solid white-water moving north fast. Had questions from visitors how this Capt holds the bottom. Were using 5 oz...this Capt holding w/ 3 oz.
Three other fisherman out. Nothing caught.
Dog loose on beach all morning. Owners making no effort to control it. Spent bout an hour w/ this Capt.
Surf Camp arrived at 0830 hrs. Be surprised if none hurt. Waaaaay to rough.
2 F-15's + 1 motorized hang glider flying south.
Dinner last nite = Diamond Shoals Buxton. 50 minutes after ordering before food arrived. Seafood platter for the price very disappointing. Little food and overcooked. Advertised "daily special" not served for dinner. Bit of false advertising. 1 visitor wearing nautical boxer shorts ... pretty obvious not a bathing suit. Not recommended.
Seafood extravaganza DIY tonight. Shrimp, sno crab, sea scallops, clams, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, garlic toast. Yes...clams will be scrubbed before steaming. All seafood will be steamed separately to preserve individual taste of each.
Note: Sea scallops, sno crab $10 lb less at Food Lion than seafood stores.
