Bacon = $4.99 for last few weeks. Don't even look at beef prices...ridiculous. Have plenty frozen anyway. Other than bacon, pork remains best meat buy, followed by chicken.

Livin alone only cook from scratch every other day so chest freezer and 2 frig freezer sections all full gonna last a long time.

Read couple weeks ago coffee to go up. Found "bonus" cans last week = $4.99. 28 cans various brands now stored. 52 boxes of 12 count K Kups...that's 624 on hand! Mrs. Capt liked those.

Read months ago was a cheese glut. Never dropped in price...actually went up in price.

Super gas for a truck?? Super...really? Yur druther or manufacturers recommendation?? This Capt's Spyder calls for Super but drive so little and get 22 MPG city, so not a problem.

No veggies this year, unless plants donated daughter-in-law who is Marketing Director for high end nursery chain here. Tropical plants seem to be tolerating cold this morning.

No celebrating this year. Takin Mrs. Capt a special lunch at the home, then to younger sons for small cookout. Forecast says 73 by late afternoon - doubt it.

RACfish sure had bummer time w/ fishin. Hopefully family time made up for it. Last 5-7 years has been a challenge for most to catch many from surf on HI. Sound always plenty tho while beating off the pins and pigs.

As for the people runnin the country...very sad. All media keep rammin the liberal/lefty crap. Afraid that technique is going to sell many who believe all they are fed. Local newspaper is disgustingly far left. So bad Editor blatantly admitted last week that they will no longer print "facts"... rather they will print the "truth". Can you say "Propaganda"?
