So how about a fishing report?

After rounding up as many freshwater trout as I could this year, I got my line wet in the saltwater this weekend. Wasn't able to make it down to OBX this spring as planned so I waited till this weekend and went locally. Left the house before 8am and pulled back in the driveway at after 12 am so almost a full day. Despite my best efforts, Hickory Shad was the only fish of the day. Caught 30+. Tried for tautog, but couldn't even loose my bait. Remember when I could go through a quart of fleas in about an hour or two. Now nothing. Thats what happens when you can't enforce your own laws... but thats another discussion. Traded off and on all day between a 1 oz swim shad and spec rig. Got nothing on the swim shad. Thought for sure I'd find some stripers after the sun went down but couldn't find any hungry fish.

two days later and I'm still worn out. Guess I can't hit it that hard anymore.

Still looking for my doctors fishing Rx. I think it may be in storage. I'll post it if I can find it.
