Most fish are color blind except for a few salmonid species (trout)not saltwater trout they are in the drum family. The type of bait means more than color. Fishbites (any) fresh bunker shrimp or squid are good baites. Make sure the bait is fresh, might mean buying it at fishmarket not a tackleshop.
