Finally got out early today to try the Jergen's soap as catfish bait. Result = 3 1/2 hours on rod w/o a nibble. Did get a nice bass (on a hot dog slice) and about 25 jumbo panfish on new bamboo pole, using "Fishbites" left over from surf in July.

Re: your question. Suspect the low #'s of fish caught is causing the lack of posts. Sources tell me same slooooooooow fishing as in July and August continues.

Hope the weather holds for you. Post report after you get home.
